I really think this is the best thing I've seen in my life. Something that can make professional sourpuss Simon smile like a schoolboy? Holy shit.

I've been waiting years for the internet to justify its existence, that it provides something more than a cesspool showcase of human nature. Finally, that moment has arrived:

: Not quite home
Between engagements I find myself in Hoboken, in the apartment I once called mine and once called home. It's one of those days where I overlooked little things like breakfast and lunch, and walk to my deli for a 4 o'clock dinner. This is Hoboken as I remember it. The Hoboken of the workday, not crowded or noisy. Office drones are still filed away in their buildings, and it's the odd hours crowd who gets to enjoy a the sunny afternoons. I grab a mozzarella and sundried tomato sandwich in the best deli in the world. And I go out walking. Alone on a city street has always been my time to think, to relax, to just be in my head. This town is always bittersweet to me. 28th August 2007

![]() After a few months of looking, I found 5 Wiis in the target in Marlboro. I was actually going in to buy a bottle of gatorade and completely forgot to get it. Instead, I asked a sales person if they indeed had wiis, or just empty boxes to torment me, bought one, and ran out of the store. It will be sitting on my lap on the plane. Driving home, I watched a SUV full of dumb broads run into their friend's car very hard (probably also full of dumb broads) on their way to the beach. I was right behind the SUV at a light. Good times. 2nd August 200731st July 200727th July 200719th July 2007
: All things must pass
Broken tables on the back porch. Windows covered up and doors barred. New hours of operation, effective in march, are posted; not effective anymore. Old beer ad posters hang in shreds off the gate. There's something sad and fitting in the shut down bar. 10th July 200720th April 2007

: You can't make this stuff up
Today when driving to the hospital, I was behind a car with the following stickers on their rear window: "Marriage: One man, One Woman"; "Support our Troops: Don't Listen to the Liberal Media"; and a silhouette of Darth Vader. I wonder if they purposefully coordinated them. 27th February 2007
: Irony, or predictability
I haven't been doing exercises for my shoulder since I've moved to Arizona. This is due in part to me not being able to find my weights since moving in. I finally found them yesterday, and resumed doing the things that are supposed to strengthen my shoulder muscles after being dislocated. I dislocated my shoulder doing so. 20th January 200726th November 2006

Today we went to bed at at odd hour. Well, Ali went to bed at around 8ish, I guess, and I stayed up until around 11, working on the computers. I went to bed, couldn't sleep, got up in 20 minutes to check something on the computer, and went back to bed, this time waking up Ali. We were talking, and I said, not that seriously, to go make egg salad, since she had been talking about it before going to sleep. She actually got up after sleeping for three hours and made lunch before we went back to sleep.
